Bill Sudell Sr. is the general manager of the Cheltenham High School ice hockey team, and his son, Bill Jr., is perhaps the team’s best hockey player.
Bill Sr. watched a tremendous performance last Thursday as his son scored 5 goals to help the Panthers upset previously unbeaten Central Bucks, 7-2.
“Bill had a super game,” said the elder Sudell. “He has a good, high-percentage shot, and he also has a lot of determination.”
That determination was evident in a win earlier this season against Methacton when the younger Sudell carried the puck over the red line, dumped it into the corner, skated over to regain control of the puck, shot on goal, and scored on the rebound. “I like to carry the puck, and I try and shoot mostly wrist shots,” Sudell Jr. said. “The game against Central Bucks was a big one for our team. It should do a lot for our confidence.” -By Scott Huff
