Hockey Rinks that have disappeared over the years across the Delaware Valley.

The Original Grundy

The rink was built by the Grundy Foundation and opened in November 1970. It was originally an open are Olympic size skating ring which was later donated to the borough. It was run by the Bristol Borough Recreation Authority. The first five years it had no roof, which was later added. In 1982, the rink installed an energy saving curtain, which cut the rink’s electric usage by 14 percent. The curtain was suspended on light-weight wire cables. The original rink featured chain link fence which was eventually replaced with glass in the summer of 1991.
