Although John loia stepped down from the coaching position he held for the last four seasons, the Region 1 midget (17 years old and under) ice hockey team still has an area coach at the helm. Craig, the coach of the Junior B Little Flyers team, took over, and his 20-member team has already been selected. Area players included on that squad are defensemen Roger Williams (La Salle High), Steve Richards (Germantown Academy), Dave Pfister (Central Bucks), wing Andy Ross, forward Marshall Schwartz (Ger mantown Academy) and goalie Scott Shaw (William Tennent). Craig’s two sons, Jack and Tim, both defensemen, also are on the team. “I think we’ve got a very good team,” Craig said. “We beat a team of older players last week, and I expect to get in at least seven games before the Keystone Games. I’m very optimistic.”
