Haverford School’s Rob Pattison. went on a record-breaking spree last Thursday night at the Skatium.
And by the time the Fords’ hockey player was finished, four Eastern High School Hockey League marks had fallen…
The freshman had eight goals and three assists as Haverford School pummeled Haverford High, 13-3. For his efforts, Pattison has been named The Inquirer’s suburban athlete of the week. The records broken during the scoring binge:

  • Most goals, game (8), breaking the mark of seven set by St. James’ Ed Romanowski in 1981-82.
  • Most points, game (11), bettering the record of nine set by Malvern’s Jeff Spencer last season.
  • Most goals, season (45), topping Romanowski’s 41. Pattison has a chance to extend the record tonight against Episcopal (which he did)
  • Most points, season (69), again besting Romanowski, who had 65.

It wasn’t Pattison’s first scoring binge of the season. He had four goals in one game in December and also posted a hat trick earlier this season.

After his feats last Thursday night, Pattison came back on Friday and scored Haverford School’s only goal in a 3-1 loss to Malvern.
Haverford School has an 11-5-1 record in the league and is in second place behind Malvern (15- 1).
*Note: He finished the season with 75 points. 50 goals, and 25 assists.
