Bob Brody and J. J. Rydel powered Germantown Academy past Archbishop Ryan, 6-4, last night and into the final of the Flyers Cup hockey tournament. Brody figured in the first five GA goals and scored two short-handed goals only 23 seconds apart in the third period. Rydel, who had undergone minor leg surgery 10 days earlier, scored two goals, including the game-winner. That came with 9 minutes, 38 seconds to play, on an assist by Brody while GA was short-handed. Germantown Academy will meet West Chester at 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Class of 1923 Rink for the championship. GA, champion of the Suburban League, has been in all three Flyers Cup tournaments, the first two of which were won by Archbishop Carroll. West Chester, champion of the Inter-County League, is in its first.
