The Philadelphia Inquirer: Tennent takes tier ll state championship
The ninth annual Flyers Cup championship was won by Council Rock as the Indians edged Bishop Egan, 3-2, Wednesday night at the Havertown Skatium. The Rock, champions of the Suburban Hockey League, outshot the Lower Bucks County League champions, 44-24. Council Rock, which finished with a 20-0 record, scored a first-period goal and a pair of third-period goals to earn the win. For Council Rock, Chris Cervellero, Steve Karl and Ryan Geiges scored, and goaltender Brian Bradley collected 22 saves.
